I think the Kindle Fire cannibalised the iPod Touch for them. Save for the bigger screen, it was pretty much a drop-in replacement for the iPod.

Of course, we can never know for sure because Amazon won't provide sales figures, and nobody can accurately predict sales from the supply chain given that only predicts the number built, not sold. (and we know from the Playbook and TouchPad disasters that build numbers are no predictor of sales success)
