Default Oct 1, 2012-FINALLY!

I found a SXM Canada application to the CRTC for a licence renewal. Reading thru it, Mark Redmond (Pres. and CEO) says SXM Canada will offer a best of/premier package combining both companies programming on OCT. 1, 2012. It's about time!!!

I remember hearing about SXMC asking for a reduction of fees benefiting Cdn. artists in this application but not new programming choices. I was becoming sick from hearing about all the financial wranglings of satrad in this country. I guess I can stop my whining and bitching now.

If u wanna link, you're gonna have to find it yourselves as I do not know how to link stuff while on this iPod! I just googled "siriusxm canada channel changes". It's a PDF file.

This is awesome. No need to buy a Mirge to get the NHL on my Sirius radio.

When I was down in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago and bought Edge radio with SiriusXM USA gift cards. So I finally got Stern on the Radio at home. So I now own 2 Sirius Canada Radios, 4 XM Canada radios and my new SiriusXM USA radio. I am on the verge of consolidating my radios, and like supporting the canadian versions of the services, just the SiriusXM service on Edge provides such a larger selection of channels. Hopefully the Canadian services can get similar programming as usa or i will switch some of the radios over or replace them with usa versions.

IF I am not mistaken, during the US merger, they could pick like 10-12 channels from either service and pay a package fee. I think now in the US, subs can pay for a lite package or a premier package which has everything. I think, don't quote me heehee.

Don't worry...the CRTC and SXM will find a way to screw this up. Why oh why am I such a pessimist heehee

Not great timing for me. My US-based Sirius w/best of XM package renews mid-September so looks like I'll need to go with them for another year until things get sorted out on the Canadian side. Too bad this is taking so long...

Is it true that an edge radio purchased in Canada will "not" get best of sxm with us account?
