Default Detroit's Ion Network

I can report that I am receiving ION network on rf 50 remapping to 31-1 here in London during tropo related events. Been missed since CBC went to rf 23 on analog. I would regularly pull in Arkon's ION on rf 23 from the Cleveland market previous to CBC vacating it.
Last Saturday I managed to install my XG91 back in my place after a 6 month experiment with the DB4E. I also managed to pick up an older model CM7777 so I put it in place.

For fringe reception nothing beats this setup from my personal testing.

Smile CBET, WKAR

I also saw ION on rf 50 last night here in london and this morning was even better. I started off pointed at Buffalo and scannned a couple of Rochester WROC and WXXI and a couple of Syracuse WTVH and WSYR. Then I spun the antenna around and scanned CBET Windsor for the first time. A few minutes later I scanned WKAR Lansing PBS for the first time. Around the same time WDIV and WXYZ were coming in at 29 db. An excellent morning for tropo from the west. Thanks to the new finds my list of active digital channels viewed from London now sits at 251. It will probably take another two years to hit 300 unless I add a vhf antenna.

Bark, nice pull with the CBET-DT 9-1 rf9 from Windsor with a 4221.

It was a fantastic night as I was able to pull in the full Detroit market minus RF14 WKBD 50-1 as we have 14-1 rf14 CITS here in London.
Indeed I had reception all night of CBET-DT 9-1 rf9 and WJBK-DT 2-1 rf7.
Also a few Lansing and Saginaw's in and out through the evening also.

A couple new stations were identified last night at my home in St.Thomas on my indoor terk. They are WBGU Bowling Green Ohio and WFFT Forth Wayne Indiana. WBGU stayed in the entire night but the Fort Wayne station only for a few minutes.

Darn! I was going to put on the tv this morning before I left for work and do a quick scan but changed my mind. He who hesitates misses out on tropo. Last night I did catch 67-1 CHCH Muskoka on the recently vacated rf 23 at it's peak it was hitting 27-28 db. Earlier in the evening ion Cleveland was coming in at 29 db on rf 23.

Default WOHL in Windsor

I'm receiving WOHL from Lima Ohio on RF35 as a result of the CBEFT shutdown.

DX or consistent signal? Wiki only has it at 9kW.

WDIV Detroit has been obliterated tonight but not by the usual suspects of WNEO or WLLA. Rotated antenna and eventually found WROC RF45! at 266.15 miles. First time getting that one and only the second Rochester station seen here.

It was 100% at my location. Buffalo only 75%. Crazy tropo.

Last night was excellent tropo from the Rochester/Syracuse area here in london. At one point I had 4 Rochester and 4 Syracuse stations coming in. The only one that was new to me was WSYT rf 19 68-1, 68-2. A couple of the Rochester channels WROC and WXXI were hitting 28-29 db. This morning I did a scan pointed between Cleveland and Erie and broke my previous scan record of 43 digital channels with a total 0f 46. The last couple of weeks has certainly revived my interest in dxing. Hope others in London are enjoying the fun.
