I am seeing the same thing here in Mount Pearl, NL. Getting 50/30 on a 30/30 plan. Here's to hoping it sticks!

When I log into my account it says I have FibreOp 50/30, I used to have 30/30.

Yep, mine does too. Sweet. Still no mention of it on their products page for new customers though. Weird how their giving this away for the same price and keeping it so hush hush. You'd think they'd be making a big stink about it.

Yeah, I would have been broadcasting this instead of pushing it out so quietly. I want to know what the official #'s are.

I've had a few friends of mine try running a speed test after I told them I was now 50/30

They are still showing 30/30, so I'm taking a wild guess that they are not advetizing the increased speeds as not everyone has been flipped over yet. They must have to do something to every individual account maybe?

Doing it silently like they currently are, avoids people complaining they are not getting the "advertized" / "promised" speed.

Came home from vacation last week to find I was getting 20/15 speeds and I should have had 30/30. Tech did confirm 30/30 tier is now 50/30 and the 15/15 was bumped up to 20.

He had to make several calls to get my speeds fixed and most departments he called didn't know anything about speed increases, but one department which he kept calling "ethernet" was aware of it.

My account page online says 50/30.

BTW.... I think Rogers is still around (at least in Atlantic Canada) because people are set in their ways and won't consider anything else. There are certainly other, much better, options out there.

I'm considering a move to Rogers only because as a bundle it's cheap. I might just downgrade to 20/15 with Internet only though...

Lots of people can't get anything else, because a lot of apartment buildngs in Fredericton can't get FibreOp. Rogers pretty much just milks those people, they're not even trying to compete when it comes to Internet anymore.
