Yes they are. I come across their Techs a lot. Very odd idea and a unique way of working in my opinion. Same stipulations apply here as well for there own Techs and the countless Sub-Contractors they use.

The Head Office and all Managers with any power are all in Mississauga, if you need a name just PM me.

I hear ya Fisherguy. Still, 2005 was the best summer off I've EVER had while Darren taught me some new skills. IE: Look after yourself first, nothing else matters. I miss VO though.......

Yes, I miss the VO too, what's the sense of working over time if you can't take twice as much time off for fishing?

BTW, I changed the sat 91 LNB, all seems to be working. How often do these things go bad?

The 2nd guy came out yesterday to install a new dish somewhere he can work off a ladder, but he ALSO said he couldn't step onto the roof to get the set runs so he left too. I told him to leave the new dish kit, I'd put it in myself, he wouldn't do that either.

I'm trying to get the new kit with the Dish Pro Plus setup to eliminate the switch, one less thing to go wrong I figure..?
Still seems like BS they won't walk 10 feet out on the roof though, TELUS installed it there when I moved from Bell, the QX guy that came out 3 months ago with a new power inserter went up there and tweaked the dish!

It's sort of true about the roof thing, even for TELUS employees. Now, I use common sense, but I've been told not to work from a ladder and not go on roofs because I'm not trained.

I use my judgement, of course, but I don't want to be in WCB-hell because my employer states I wasn't supposed to be working where I was working when injured - paranoid, I know, but the worker's comp system sucks

Put in another service call, see what happens.

How many TV do you have hooked up? Can't you switch to the newer switch that does not require power? I haven't been on here in months and I forget whats it's called, But the new one, Oh yeah DPP. Can't it be used instead?
Though I think it limited to only total 2 PVR per dish..

It's also possible that both your PVR (9241) could have gone bad. I have gone threw 4 so far. Though actually only 2nd Pvr box.. 1st box started being bad, when tech came replace it, he went threw 3-4 before he found one that would work correctly and pick up both 81-91 sat single..

If you do decide to get replacement PVR, its well worth it to buy external HDD to move over any shows/movies to that external HDD Drive before
you get new PVR unit. 1GB and 2GB drives are cheap these days.. (USB 2.0)

Also word of warning, Any shows that you have on your PVR, Make sure they are not Locked, before you transfer them to new External HDD.
If any shows are marked "Locked" before you move em to external HDD.
You may have few minor issues when go view/play/Rename on new PVR.

If you know what you are doing you can get as many as 24 Dual Tuner HD PVR's off one Dish by using a DPP Quad LNBF and 6 x DPP44 switch's. I did one like that very recently.

Not that you would ever need this in a residential setting but I am just saying what is possible.
