I've started using Airparrot (windows edition) with my apple tv2 which streams my computer’s screen to my Apple TV over AirPlay. It features audio mirroring so i can watch any video that i have on my computer without using itunes,I can also watch videos played in my browser onto my HDTV.
No hacking/jailbreaking needed. Has anyone else tried it, i had audio problems at the begining but i seem to have sort it out for now? Last edited by proggy; 2012-07-13 at 01:03 PM. |

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm going to give this a try.

Have you tried playing any 3D games (BF3, Skyrim) on it and streamed them through Apple TV using AirParrot? Any latency?

I have not because my apple tv and computer are not in the same room.

I've been using it to stream web content from older MacBook Pro (AirPlay only works on newer Macs). Works pretty well, had a few stutters towards the end of an History TV show.
