TSN2 usually shows one game a week.
If you're a die hard fan, you can pay some $$$ and watch all games live at http://www.afl.livesport.tv |

@ticky I think that's just for Australian Rules Football (aka the most entertaining thing on TV, ever).

Support local football, watch some Toronto FC matches! Sure, MLS soccer certainly isn't up to the standard of the big European leagues, but attending games at BMO Field is usually a great experience.
You can find TFC games on TSN, Sportsnet and GolTV. |

welcome to a passion that will just consume you, for me I am a huge English Premier League fan but also can appreciate Spanish and Italian league matches, also some of the lower leagues German, Dutch, French can be very entertaining to watch. The beauty is in the difference of styles, whereas the English game is very fast almost like watching a pinball machine, the Italian and Spanish is very technical where you can see the play buildup from the back leading to a scoring chance or goal.

I watched most of the recent Euro 2012 matches and have started following the Vancouver Whitecaps of the MSL. Are the MSL fields (pitches?) as large as the European ones? Seems to me they are smaller. It is a great game and I'm a new fan for sure. Cheers.

It depends on the stadium. For example Portland has the narrowest pitch in MLS by a wide margin (I believe it is the narrowest allowed by the Laws of the Game). The "Laws of the Game" specify an approved length and width range. UEFA specifies that to reach category 3 or 4 (required for latter stages of tournaments) the pitch is to be 105m by 68m. BC Place pitch is 107m by 69m so it's actually bigger.

Has anyone heard about what's going on with BeIN Sport and La Liga in Canada. We're only a few weeks out and it doesn't look like the situation is any clearer. I'll be really peeved if I can't watch.

Thankfully, because of the internet, I know I won't miss any games. Unfortunately my dad has no internet and GolTV was his only way to watch LaLiga games. |

I don't for the Liga but French Ligue 1 start this week-end with PSG - Lorient on TV5.
And with all the money PSG spend during the summer, they might look like a liga side this year. |
