I'm hoping to get some advice on what I need to get SiriusXm connected to my Onkyo receiver at home?
It's not Sirius connect ready and I dont want to stream from the net or use Apps etc. I am hoping to get something like Lynx or another standalone type receiver and necessary antenna setup and use either a digital or analog input on the receiver, everything I see seems to require their connection or use docks. So if someone can please point me in the correct direction I would really appreciate it as I am thoroughly confused? Thanks in advance for just looking in here guys. |

A home kit would be required for most SiriusXM radios. That consists of a small dock, power block, home antenna and RCA cable. The sound quality is variable, depending on the radio (some are really bad.) Streaming provides better sound quality but has other issues.

Also for best uninterupted signal you would need an external antenna (that runs about $75) plus the rg6 cable to run it all over the house. I have this setup but choose to stream most of the time as I always have an iOS device lying around vs going to the car for the portable.
