Question Fibe TV en Outaouais

If anyone has any information on the availability of Fibe TV in Outaouais (Gatineau, Hull, Aylmer, etc...) please share here. I call Bell and verify their site but all I know is that it is not available at my house (Hull, Plateau).
Is Bell currently installing fiber in Outaouais? In which neighbourhood? FTTH or FTTN? Does anyone have it yet?

I have already asked many times, but they told me it would not be available for a long time (all the cables are buried in this area). (

Maybe some insiders on this forum have other good news?

Well, at least now I know that I'm not alone! Let's hope we get a few more info from others, insiders?

I hope that having underground cables actually helps since they can pull new cables (fish) easily. I just bought a hot tub and asked to change the electric main cable at my house (didn't do it yet) and was told that it was as easy as pulling a new one from the street using the underground tube.

It may be easy to pull a new cable, but it's far worse when you need to interconnect all the houses on the block.
Sorry to say it, but the priority won't be on underground cables just yet, it's nearly triple the work for them.

Question

I have a friend who works for Bell and I asked him about Fibe in Capital region, from what he heard possible OCT(although not confirmed) in some parts of Ottawa(older sections above wire) He not sure about Gatneau as its a different groupo that service that area.

I live in La Prairie, QC and the Bell network is under ground in our backyards. Since I woke up this morning, a TRJ Telecom truck is parked right in front of my house. They are pulling Fiber cables on the other side of the street, in my neighbor's backyard.

So it seems Bell has started pulling cables in small cities with under ground network. I don't know when this will be activated by Bell, but it is good news.

I live close to downtown Montreal and it is still not available here. Not too far from their head office and also close to CTV. So don't be surprised if it is not in your area.

So, nobody saw any activity in Outaouais regarding the installation of Fibe this summer?

Great news. This is exactly the kind of reply I was looking for.

At least now we know that it is starting to be available in a few streets. I am in one of the first streets of the Plateau, near Walmart. Yes, the cables are underground, this is why it takes longer apparently.

I am so looking forward to having fiber!
