I sent my Toshiba Thrive at the the Toshiba Depot to replace my glass (still working but cracked) a few weeks ago.
A service guy has leave a message today telling me that the cost for doing that repair is 331$ Got any idea what i can do with that ? I have to call them back to authorize the work. Anyone has this issue with Toshiba ? Any chance that i can make a deal with them ? I'm seriously thinking that i'm going to tell them to send it back to me and get the google nexus 7 when it's gonna be available :S Any advice will be appreciated Thanks |

You are getting absolutely hosed. I would refuse the work on principle.
Just my opinion. |

$331 seems like it could buy you a new tablet.

Finally they fixed it for 171 $
I told them to forget that at this price (331$) and i will buy the google nexus7 instead of fixing it and i was about to buy a new laptop computer soon and Toshiba will be the last nameon my list. Then they make me this deal |
