I can not get the playbook to play avi files. It will play the sound but no video. Is there a way I can get avi files to work on the playbook or am I out of luck.
Thanks |

AVI is just a container, meaning there are multiple ways the video can be encoded. The PlayBook supports MPEG-4, H.264, & xVid codecs.
You could use a tool like MediaInfo to determine what video codec your .avi file is using. |

You can use Handbrake to do any transcoding; this is time consuming, unless you have a fast computer, but it gets the job done. Often, it's just something in the file header that is causing the sync problem.
