I have an IPad with kindle app. I was wondering if I could purchase ebooks from the American site. Ebooks seem to be a lot cheaper, even with the exchange. The way are dollar is prices should be close to par. NOT $5-$6 difference at least. GRRRRRRR

Absolutely! Create an amazon.com account and go for it!

You have to purchase your Kindle books from Amazon.com. You either have a Canadian or US account. Just a heads up, if you purchase a lot using a US account, while you are in Canada. You will be questioned on it. My cousin had her account disabled from Amazon. They wanted her to proved that she was a US citizen. She just told them that she travels on business a lot to Canada, and that is where she reads the most. They enabled her account. My wife also got an email from Amazon asking her to prove she was a US citizen. In this case, my wife ignored it and didn't purchase any books for a while. Nothing else came of it.
