Optoma HD70 Component cable produces color scan lines - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

Five year old Optoma 70HD exhibiting color scan lines crawling up the screen, purple, green. Only happens with component input from cable box, no probs on VGA input. Do I actually have to shell out hundreds for a 25' HDMI?

You can get one for much less from monoprice. I would also test a shorter one first to make sure that the projector is not faulty on both component and HDMI before buying the longer HDMI cable.

As jumpy27 indicated, you do not need to spend a lot on a "premium" HDMI cable.
