I'd be interested in a site that offers wifi, that way I could demonstrate the remote capabilities of NPVR. Which is better than the alternative of me just verbally droning on and on(and on) about it.

[ Near a major transit stop, somewhere near the transitway, where parking is easily available for those who do drive. A little closer in to Ottawa. A place where we could have a separate room - similar to the Royal Oak, Kanata ]

Summerhays Restaurant ?
On Baseline Rd,
Near Baseline Station transitway stop.
Near College Square, across from the Loblaws grocery store?
( I can check if they have a separate room or area)

Lincoln Fields ?
? somewhere near the Lincoln Fields transit station on the transitway ?
? I think there's lots of places near the Lincoln Fields Mall on Carling Av. ?
A little EAST of Carling and Pinecrest / Carling and Richmond Road.

Just ideas - * if * we are thinking about a different spot.

I'm still fine with Royal Oak in Kanata.

I am certainly not against a transit friendly location if it will help anyone, but no point solving a problem that doesn't exist if everyone will be driving.

So I will ask the question: Would anyone like to take the bus to the meeting?

With nicer weather, another consideration is a bicycle friendly location.

I certainly prefer not to have to drive after a visit to a pub, so my preference would be The Royal Oak (within walking distance) or somewhere downtown or west end near the main E-W bus corridor.

What we really need is input from more potential participants. I'll make an announcement in the three Ottawa-area reception results forums and direct interested parties here.

Summerhays would be OK with me, since I am nearby. Chances are I'll have wheels, but the bike option is possible, too. I can't make it April 5 to April 14th, though.

Personally, I will have wheels and am fine with the Royal Oak location.

I would also be happy with Summerhay's (and area). I do believe they have a couple rooms but may not be as nicely isolated as the Royal Oak in Kanata. I am in the College Square area (Experimental Farm so its on the way) and would not be adverse to car pooling.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays work best for me but I am sure I could arrange a sitter for Monday or Wednesday if required.

Personally, I did like the format of educational lesson (learned some new things) and the individual discussions afterwards. Then again, I am a relative newbie compared to many of the others. I have a setup that works, but am interested in tweaking to see if I can't get a more reliable signal for my HD Homeruns. Now that the warmer weather is coming, I am more likely to climb up on the roof again.

That is another option for location Chances'R in Collage Square. It is probably a bit easier to get to by bike or bus (less of a walk/traffic) than Summerhays, but I don't know if it has a private room for us.

No, a date was never decided on. Now that the playoffs have started it could be tough for the next couple months.

No Rush.

Whenever is convenient for all.

Maybe sometime in June ? Mid June ?

After Hockey is finished and before summer (vacations etc ) officially starts?

I'm up for this anytime. Just found this thread. The ChancesR or Summerhayes is good for me.
