Using Kobo Touch w/Offers in Canada?

There's a version of the Kobo Touch "With Offers" that's sold in the US, black only. You can't see it on the Kobo website if you're in Canada, but it retails for U$80 and is on sale this week at Best Buy (US) for U$70.

I like the shape of the Kobo better than the nook Touch (the latter just feels like the wrong proportions) though the nook with Glowlight is tempting (and U$140).

Just wondering if anyone's run the Kobo w/Offers in Canada. It _should_ work, but presumably if they had trouble presenting the advertising I wonder if would disable some features after a period in Canada?
