Cross-town rivals Yanks vs. Mets - June 8th - 7pm on WBBZ 67.1 (RF 7.1).

I have found the C5 reliable in getting this channel.

While we're at it, the next three F1 races will be available OTA, beginning with this week's Canadian GP airing at 2 pm Sunday.

CTV will have the F1 race from Montreal too (I guess since TSN has soccer?).

You guys are lucky. Looks like CTV Ottawa's not broadcasting the F1 race this weekend despite running ads for it all week! (telethon instead) Arrg! (Fox: for the few that can get its weak signal in Ottawa, is poor quality low-def 480p).

That is awesome, thanks for posting that. That's as much of a coup as pulling off the Yankees games.
Like to see the little guy win once in a while. I really hope it works out well for WBBZ.
I will certainly spread the word to friends on TWC when the time comes.

Amazing that little WBBZ scores a primetime NFL game over the other high powered local Buffalo channels...good for them. Since this will make it more difficult to see the game for most OTA'ers in the GTA, expect to have lot of people inviting themselves over to your place if you have let it be known that you can receive it

Congrats to WBBZ in getting the Bills game. It's ironic in how we see so much dismantling of OTA in Canada, but in the US, it seems to be alive and well with new stations prospering and channels being added. It will be interesting to see if WBBZ adds more sports programming (e.g., Sabres, Bisons, Bandits), especially when the vice-president/general manager is the former general manager of the Empire Sports Network.

One of the few times you can catch a Jays game for free, over-the-air; and in HD!

Tuesday July 17th 7:00 PM, on Buffalo's WBBZ 67.1 (real channel 7.1). The now commonly used over-the-air UHF antenna will not get it- you'll need a half decent VHF antenna.

Oh ya, it's a home game for the Yanks- another reason to watch.

Obviously it comes in fine here in Buffalo.

At one point NBC Sports was available as an OTA subchannel - is it still available OTA? If so, it would be a way around the TSN-cable-satellite lock in.

I believe you are confusing NBC Sports Network with NBC Universal Sports which are two different channels. NBC Sports Network used to be called "Versus" until January 2 of this year when it was renamed NBC Sports Network and was never available OTA.

NBC Universal Sports used to be available as an OTA subchannel on most NBC affiliates and on FTA satellite until January 2012 when it changed to a subscription cable and satellite service so it is no longer available for free on either OTA or FTA satellite.
