Default Bell TV Bundled with Bell Aliant services?

I currently have Bell TV bundled with my Bell Aliant phone and internet, in Nova Scotia. With the bundle comes the free PVR. Is there anybody that can confirm whether the credit for the free PVR comes on the Bell or the Bell Aliant bill? I had just assumed that it was going to be on the Bell bill, but the CSR I just spoke with on the online chat is telling me that it's on the Bell Aliant bill, but it's not showing up on either at the moment.

I install Bell TV equipment every day, but I've only been a Bell TV customer for the last month so this side of it is all new to me lol. I'm slightly impatient, and it's too late for me to do the online chat, or call Bell Aliant now, or else I'd just ask them directly.

Thumbs up

It should be on Bell bill, however, they quite frequently screw it up. You need to call Bell with your Aliant account number. Also, make sure that they put the credit on the correct rcv if you have more than 1. I got a 9241 and 6400 installed, and they put the credit on the 6400, took a few months to get it fixed.

Thanks, that's what I thought, I just didn't feel like talking to another CSR last night. I'm chatting with a different CSR now to see if I can get this sorted out. Luckily I only have one receiver, so I don't have to worry about making sure they credit the right one.

Holy cow... A requirement to being a Bell CSR must be that you can't type any more than 10 words per minute lol. It takes 5 minutes for them to answer a question with a single sentence. But, with everything all said and done, they'll be applying the credit to my account, just might take 1-2 billing cycles

Default Bell is Not Bell Aliant

To back up the rebel. Anything related to Bell TV should be on the Bell bill. I was told by a CSR at Bell Aliant (in person at one of their stores) that for practical purposes Bell Aliant doesn`t care whether or not you take Bell TV. In their computer system it isn`t even registered that you are also a Bell TV customer. It`s just a superficial connection to make it easier for the customers to put a bundle together. The TV service is totally separate.

I'm well aware of that. I was fairly confident that the credit should come from Bell, I just wanted to see if anybody knew for sure, since the Bell CSR was telling me otherwise.
I install Bell TV for a living, so I have to deal with people every day thinking that I'm going to install their satellite, phone and internet. Then I have to try to explain the difference between Bell and Bell Aliant, etc. Not to mention having to tell customers that the information/prices/packages that they got from the Bell Aliant store about Bell TV are completely wrong 90% of the time.

I used to receive a credit for having Bell TV on my Bell Aliant bill, $5 a month or something. I also currently recieve a $5 discount from Bell Aliant for having a Bell Mobility smart phone, and I am billed for same on my BA bill.

If the offer was from Bell Aliant for having a bundle, the crecit should come from Bell Aliant and be on your Bell Aliant bill.

@nic78: That certainly hasn't been my experience with Bell Aliant. If I were to call in right now and ask for what services I have with them they would tell me that I have a bundle consisting of Home Phone, 5 cent long distance and internet. That's all Bell Aliant bills me monthly. If I were then to say what about Bell Sat., they would say that that's not our concern. We just passed you name on to Bell when you signed up. I know this because I recently changed long distance plans on my home phone.

I wonder if the party doing the crediting has something to do with where the credit originated in the first place? i.e. All Mobile phones are now looked after by Bell Mobility not Bell Aliant. However perhaps your credit came from either a Bell Aliant promotion or predates the switch from Bell Aliant to Bell Mobility of all their cell services and for that reason appears on your Bell Aliant bill? (Just a suggestion).

The $5 dollar Bell Aliant rebate for having a Bell smartphone tied to a bundle, still exist, and I only added it to my account last year. I moved twice and it got dropped each time, but got reapplied each time, after calling Bell Aliant. One of the calls I called Bell first and they transferred me to a Bell Aliant CSR to link the accounts, as it was a rebate from Bell Aliant and needed to be applied from Bell Aliant's end.
