HBO's Hard Knocks - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

This year it will be my favorite team the Miami Dolphins.
Anyone know where/how to watch it in Canada? If I recall correctly, HBO Canada didn't show the last Hard Knocks in 2010 when it was the NY Jets.

Well, just to follow up, it looks like it won't be on HBO Canada. Here's the email I just received:

Dear Derek,

I would like to thank you for your e-mail. Here at HBO Canada, it is always a pleasure to hear from our subscribers and to address any questions that you may have.

Unfortunately, although we do show a majority of HBO programming, we are unable to show ‘Hard Knocks’. I myself am a huge sports fan and would also love to see that show. For some reason, we’ve had trouble acquiring the sports titles from HBO in the States.

Regardless, I will forward your request for ‘Hard Knocks’ to be shown on HBO Canada, and hopefully our programming department can do something about that.

If i recall TSN owns the rights to it and only showed it on tape delay on the afternoons. And you can also catch it on hbo's american website usually the next day.

Never noticed it on TSN before. Only place I remember seeing Hard Knocks in Canada is on NFL Network, but that well after it originally airs.

But I think we're heading in the right direction.
I think Joe Philbin is gonna be the real deal as a HC.

Less than 3 weeks until the premiere and no Canadian Network has announced they will be showing this.

TSN has the rights and what i recall from last year they showed it taped delayed sometime during the weekday afternoon.

I've sent 2 emails to TSN about this and have gotten no reply.

Here is an update, if anyone cares.
HBO Canada says they don't have rights.
TSN says they don't have the rights.
Sportsnet hasn't returned my emails.
I didn't contact The Score because I figured they're to busy showing WWE, MMA or poker.

Damn it, I wanna watch this season and it seems as though I wont be able to (other than through Ice Films on my Boxee Box IF it's on there)

Yep. Not looking good. I emailed at HBO Canada, TSN and The Score asking why they won't but the rights.
HBO Canada said they were unable to secure the rights, which tells me someone else has them.
TSN and The Score have not responded to my emails.
Looks like it might time to fire up the Pirate Bay account.

I thought we would get Hard Knocks and was really looking forward to it,ripped off again. Agree...Canadian TV sucks ! I wish I had my Direct TV back !

Not sure what we expect.
Where would The Score find room on the sked. With all the WWE and poker filling up space.
And God forbid TSN2 not show a replay of the Scotties or Brier Final for 97th time.
Why does Canadian TV suck so much?

Well, it starts tomorrow. No sign of it showing up anywhere on CDN TV. Shocker!
Oh well, time to a pay visit to one Mr. Jack Sparrow.
