So does that HAIER with its weak tuner, does it have a sensitive tuner to show signal percentage (0-100), instead of bars?

And can you enter manually RF channel directly w/o scanning?

Anyone know of a good handheld TV with these two features?

no, it will not show signal percentage

yes it will tune the rf channel without any scan

Hi guys,

B&H Photo Video i.e. BandH(dot)com sells a couple of portable ATSC TVs in the $50 to $100 price range. I believe Canadian orders are processed in Markham, ON but shipped from their stores in the States.

I've never tried the models they carry so I can't validate the ease of use or sensitivity of the tuner but the ones with external antenna connections could be useful as an antenna alignment tool when you're up on the roof.

If you're interested, check out the following model numbers on their website (all 7" screen sizes, 480i):
