Thumbs up Shaw Direct + Shaw Cable Bundling - Finally !!

It appears Shaw Cable and Shaw Direct are finally 'merging' on some areas.
I just received an offer from Shaw Cable to add Shaw Direct Digital Indulgence Package to my existing Shaw Home Phone / High Speed Internet package.

The total monthly cost for all 3 would be $75/month increasing to $99/month after 6 months. This includes free installation and HD receiver (or HDPVR for $99).

As an existing SD customer, I am not eligible for this offer but a quick question to 'Ask Jim' resolved this and it appears I will be able to bundle the two on the same terms, saving me about $40/month over what I pay now.

A point of interest....the call to the toll-free 'bundling' number in the letter appears to be a joint Shaw Direct /Shaw customer service line.

What part of Canada did you receive this promo? When I called it went to voicemail. This appears to be a promotional discount, certainly NOT a bundling feature.

^^^How do you have Shaw phone and Internet in Ontario?

Just checked their site. Didn't know they had entered into parts of Ontario. Hopefully they'll get to my area (Vaughan) soon.

I guess there is an advantage to living in Northern Ontario.

Yuppers!
Noticed Shaw has caps on downloads. Not my cup of tea. Would never give my business directly to Rogers or Bhell for that reason and won't give it to Shaw either if/when they come to my area. Just my $0.02.

400 GB monthly usage allowance
10 Emails

Rogers ($100/month)

2 Mbps upload
250 GB monthly usage allowance
9 Emails

Cogeco ($110)
50 Mbps download speed
1.5 Mbps upload
250 GB monthly usage allowance

Default Shaw Direct & bundling with shaw internet?

Has anyone with shaw direct yet been able to receive a bundle price with their shaw internet service? They seem to be taking their time offering shaw direct customers this option.

Default ShawDirect with Shaw Internet bundling

I got called with an offer... and it was not that great.

for BB50+phone the "special" bundle price is $75+taxes

I seem to recall that it was only $57+taxes when they introduced bundling a few months ago. Now $59 will only get you "High Speed" which I think is 7.5Mbps

That makes it a 31.58% increase in just a few months. Not impressed.

$59? I have SD for TV, and Shaw for Internet/Phone, and was offered the following:

Personal TV, HSI 10, and Basic Phone for $49. I just have to retain my shaw direct service to keep this $49 price. I think this is standard, so you should call back if you are paying $59 for this. Not sure why they include Personal TV but whatever, HSI 10/Basic Phone for $49 is pretty good price. It's $75 normally I think for just those two.
