Same thing happened to me actually. I never got the order, so I sent an email complaining, I got the order a couple of days later and then the next day I got a replacement order for free. I have to give them credit for sending the order again. I now have more banana plugs than I'll ever need.

I think all is good. Had a small order and arrived just like it would with the postal service.

If you switch from UPS standard to UPS express you save the entry prep fees

Default Monoprice shipping weight limits

I made several orders from Mononprice earlier this year.

After I got caught by UPS brokerage charges on my first order (besides which I had to drive 30km to pick up the parcel from the UPS depot as they wouldn't deliver without a signature - and who is at home in the middle of the day?), I noticed that once your order goes past a certain weight, they switch from USPS to UPS for their shipping.

As a result, I placed my next order as two separate orders to keep them under the weight limit for USPS (which carried no additional charges whatsoever at this end). Strangely, although the two parcels left Monoprice together, they arrived here two days apart!

They are a great company to deal with - I wish others were as efficient.

UPS Logistics do mail order / internet order / service parts fulfillment for a lot of different companies in North America but do not always use UPS for the delivery.

Fall 2010, I ordered online from Home Depot Canada and it was delivered by Purolator, but the order according to the paperwork that came with the delivery indicated it was processed by UPS Logistics.

Can you point us to the weight limit info or is it apparent somewhere? I definitely want to avoid UPS bogus charges.
If indeed they ship at some point via UPS and their bogus charges due to weight then they lose points with me if they do not inform me. It would be ridiculously expensive to accept an order from them with the bogus UPS charge. What's the weight limit?

There not custom if you buy something of less than 20$ of value.

We're not talking about Canada Post and customs charges. We're talking about UPS and bogus customs charges.

So you selected USPS in the pull down menu but they shipped UPS?

Default Refuse UPS shipment & self-clear

For those who want to save on UPS brokerage fees, some people have posted that it is possible to refuse the shipment at your door, and then self-clear the package, involves some legwork but is cheaper. Haven't tried this myself. google, or check out this link http://forums.redflagdeals.com/ups-s...ntreal-480144/

Default Self-Clear UPS shipment

Here's a better explanation of how to handle this yourself.

There is a large chunk of the country that UPS doesn't serve directly, and they give the packages to Purolator to deliver for them. UPS in Western Canada, for example, basically operates in the big cities, with very few of their own trucks outside of the cities. Up until very recently, UPS didn't have any presence at all in the maritimes or Newfoundland, but are gradually opening up new terminals down there.

Anyway, we just had a couple shipments come in from the US. One was a box of floor tile samples via UPS, just left at the door. Another was apparel from mlb.com, came in via Purolator, again, left at the door. Not used to that, especially from UPS as mentioned by others here. I used to order a CD online, and have UPS charge me more in fees than the CD cost LOL.
