Default Donna Summer, Queen of Disco, dead at 63

http://www.tmz.com/2012/05/17/donna-...ad-last-dance/

Donna Summer -- the Queen of Disco -- died this morning after a battle with cancer ... TMZ has learned.

We're told Summer was in Florida at the time of her death. She was 63 years old.

Sources close to Summer tell us ... the singer was trying to keep the extent of her illness under wraps. We spoke to someone who was with Summer a couple of weeks ago ... who says she didn't seem too bad.

One of my all time favorite 70's singer. Sad to die at such a young age. RIP Donna. You will always be my "Bad Girl".

Several sources are telling us Donna believed she contracted it by inhaling toxic particles after the 9/11 attack in New York City.
Sad news. I wonder if an autopsy would be able to prove or disprove that belief. Wonder if she had ever been a smoker?

I was shocked to hear this today. What a loss. Lots of fond memories associated with her music. And I'd like to believe she really didn't dis the gays back in the 80s.

I always wonder that whenever I see a lung cancer diagnosis, even after my dad was diagnosed with it and never smoked a day in his life.

Spending time in the 70s when discotheques were full of second hand smoke....
