I called Bell asking about the "zero-rated" Internet bundle talked about in this thread, and I was told to contact this number:

Bell IPTV Division: 1-866-797-8686

I haven't bothered to follow-up as Fibe isn't available in my area yet so no point me spending more time investigating, but thought I would pass on this contact number in case it helps.

I tried talking to several Bell managers and none of them had ever heard of "zero rated" internet for Fibe TV. They kept asking me where I had heard of this term.

My zero rated will kick in my next billing cycle.
It has to 100% be applied by the loyalty department.
Even then it was hard to find someone that knew about it.
Lets see what kind of billing problems this will cause.

Get fibe tv dryloop....they probably don't wanna assign two 7330's for your home....it would be hard for the dsl speed out of the 7330 for your TV and than 3rd party speed out of the 7330 from another provider its not possible.....I haven't done an install for that atleast just two seperate lines it only thing I can think of

since fibe tv is maxed out at 16Mbps; how feasible is the following;

zero rated dry loop for FIBE TV; and a second line for 25Mbps internet..?

I am in a similar situation, TekSavvy internet and was wondering if I could get FIBE TV on a second line. Anyone think this would be possible?

You can, you will need to pay for a second dry loop.

Technically you can, but Bell has changed some things because of abuse, and other factors. And since all the channels are multicasted straight to the DSLAM on a separate VLAN, you actually DON'T have to have ANY internet connection at all. (Obviously the apps on the receiver wont work though)

Up until only about a year or so ago, your phone number was not associated with your PPPoE credentials, instead RADIUS would go by your PPPoE login when collecting usage and other data. This caused people to abuse GAS, so Bell changed things around. (Some IISPs sold PPPoE only credentials (about $10/month), so they could double their usage)

Got it today for my parents. I had to order fibetv and internet then call back after 30 days and they can check that theres been no internet use. They will then change it to zero rated. As you said it can only be applied by costumer loyalty department

i have my setup exactly like this.
i had to go thru loyalty dept to get it done.
fibetv with 0 monthly bandwidth no charge internet on F1 pair.
fibe25 with 375gb monthly bandwith internet on f2 pair.
both dryloop. both have seperate b1 numbers assigned.
2 sagencom connection hub modems.
however on the fibetv sagencom i changed that b1 username and pass to test@test/test to avoid any possible charges.

You may want to put your Fibe TV b1 and password in your modem. Without them things like Facebook, Weather Network applications won't work.

This is why I don't have Fibe TV. I want it, but, I am not going through this BS. Forcing internet on a customer. So stupid. Even the excuse is lame. I very much doubt the amount of internet data for the apps is enough to even worry about from a Bell standpoint. Its all about sucking as much money as possible.

So how much did they credit you for no internet and how much is your total bill?

Which package did you get?

Hi all,
i want to share my experience with bell and their fibe tv.
I was a customer of bell entertainment service from the time it become available, I liked the service, more than that I liked the price. For me the price was adequate to the service, and I was thinking finally somebody start to think and made a good move towards customers. I was really hoping that the price will stay for good, basically what you pay for TV service with no internet charge. witch was a good deal since the internet they offered wasnt any good, with bandwidth caps interesting in year 2000, but I say thats ok since the TV service was nice. I did not use the internet beacause 40gb is nothing at all. I had a different isp for unlimited internet. Then after the beta test ended they forced all of BEV customers to switch to FIBE TV, they changed programming, forced to upgrade to a different package to obtain same channels, but they let me keep the old silver PVR. The service price increased by 100% but the internet was only basic with lowest speed, witch was again unusable at all. I had no choice because I did not want to switch to rogers, since their PVR and quality is appaling. so I keept the service untyl now i found that there is something what you discuss here zero-rated interned. So today I called bell, was explaining my situation and my loyalty to them for the past 3 and half years, in return I get first reply that there is no such a thing as zero-rated internet, thats directly from loyalty department, they never heard about that and they dont think there is such a thing like that, so they transfered me to fibetv department, where they agreed that there is such a think like zero-rated interned, but since I use internet by a different provider, they cannot offer me the zero rated internet at all. the only thing I can get is to downgrade my internet to the slowest speed with not even funny cap, witch would not make a difference to me since i dont use it, but the price will only change by 15$ less on my account, or I can cancel my service, witch I asked them to cancel it after 3 and half year.

I just want to let folks know, that if you going to ask for it , dont tell them that you use internet at home at all, even if you sound like 25 year old, you should tell them no we dont use internet and we dont know what internet is, they u will be granted zero-rated internet.

I was expecting from bell to be more loyal to their loyal customers.

Bell has a customer loyalty department? I had been getting the Bell "TV for Condos" standard definition VDSL service for several years, when they started pushing FibeTV as its replacement. I was willing to buy the new terminal and pay the increased cost per month for the HD FibeTV service, but I was not going to pay for their required accompanying internet service. I was not offered any such "zero rated" internet option, which almost certainly would have retained me as their customer, so presumably it was not available at that time. Instead they simply followed through on their two years of threats to cancel my TV service if I refused to also get their internet service. And then they called a couple of weeks later, inexplicably claiming to be shocked that I had also switched my home phone to Rogers when I ordered cable as the only BDU option for me, yet even then all Bell could offer (too late, obviously) was to suggest getting satellite service from them, which was not possible in my apartment building.
