Hi all..
Anyone have any experience with video intercom / doorbell systems for front door monitoring? (searching only pulled up one thread in the last 6 months) In particular, I've got the following requirements.. - must be tcp/ip network based - must have IR / night vision capability - must have 5"/7" LCD panels (1 or 2) that have direct access to the camera (this is a must for WAF) - must not require centralized server *solution* (or recurring monthly fees) - must be able to stand typical Canadian winter (up to say, -20C/-30C) - ideally, would also be directly accessible via Browser / IP Camera app / mobile app - ideally, could have optional VOIP call-out capability - ideally, power requirements will fit POE or POE-injector products I might be asking for a lot here.. Some of those 'must's could be flexible, depending on the circumstances, of course. Any insights would be appreciated.. I only found one manufacturer, in China, that requires bulk orders of 200+ units! So.. somebody must be selling these things.. Thanks! |

(Whoops, sorry, I keep forgetting to come back and reply here...)

The Mobotix IP Video Door Station T24 seems to have most of what I'm looking for, but is really overly expensive compared to the Chinese products that are missing one or two functions, but come at 1/3 the price, and includes video display, like this one.. Quote:

> - must not require centralized server *solution* (or recurring monthly fees) Also, it seems to use a proprietary protocols not standard tcp/ip protocols. And it looks like it ties you into a whole C4 solution.. The Chinese Lanbon product seems close, but not perfect.. What I really need is something that will work with 1-2 touchscreens directly *and* via typical IP Camera software, like Blue Iris and others.. At this point, I might just buy a raspberry Pi, and camera, and make my own box that does everything I need.. :-\ |
