Apologies if I missed posts on this -- I really did search.

Is there any indication that Shaw is planning new software or new boxes that would feature a new Guide (EPG). The existing guide is slow and clunky on my DCX-3400 boxes, and surely something better must be out there.

Absolutely.

Shaw's getting ready to launch/test the Motorola DreamGallery HTML5 guide on the DCX3200s non-PVR boxes. See this thread for info.
