I did not reassign any AUD key as you suggest I did. I used the DVD key. I do not have the AUX key you mention on my remote either. I did try your sequence first and it did not work at all. I tried it more than once. The sequence that worked was the one in the manual for my remote.
Actually I tried another remote too, identical to mine as I have a few of them, and used the DVD key first and all worked well. I also gave Apple TV to a friend for Xmas and programmed his remote too. It was a different remote from mine and required the 973 number sequence you described as the sequence for my remote did not work. It also only worked with the DVD key. For some reason the DVD key is the only one that will allow you to use MENU and OK|SELECT with Apple TV.

Hi There,
Please help. I've just about Mom-Proofed her URC1056 remote to work with her Motorola Digital TV (SD) Box, Samsung Blu-Ray, & Samsung 46" Plasma (model # PN43D440A5D). The issue is I've unlocked the Ch + button from defaulting to the Motorola cable box but the Ch - button does nothing. When pushing the Ch - button, the "TV" button does flash as it should but the channels do nothing. It looks like I've inadvertently killed the Ch - button for both Samsung AND the Motorola box. Please Help!! You guys ALL know what it's like when we kids try to "improve" and "simplify" our parent's TV viewing! Cheers, rajugsw |

You could try resetting the remote to original settings (instructions in the remote's user guide) and reprogramme the on/off, volume, etc. functions. If she's got a STB, I would suggest leaving the STB on, not including it in the power sequence. In this way it's less likely to get out of sequence. You shouldn't do that with a PVR though.
PS, why do you need the remote to control the TV channels?

Thanks 57. I need to change the TV channels because I just installed a tripod mounted antenna setup on her roof. One antenna for Buffalo, the other for Toronto. Al on the same mast. Anyway, the SD Digital box is a backup in case the weather gets bad and she loses channels. Each are on a different input on the back of the TV. I'll try your suggestions.

When I had the older Atlantic box I was able to set the box that when I wanted to change the volume it would automatically control my audio receiver without having to press AUD before. Now with the Cisco box i picked up, I cannot figure out how to do it with the new UI. Can anyone help me with some tips? I sure hope you can do it.

You do it by programming the remote not through the UI. There should have been a booklet with the remote control that described how to program it.

It's under "Global Volume Lock" in the User Guide, but you may have to programme in the code for the AVR first, but if it already works when you press AUD, that (code) shouldn't be necessary, just the lock. It has nothing to do with the STB. Moved to existing thread.

Works!! That's all I wanted thank you. The 9-9-3 code is what I needed.
Btw I was reading some older posts in this thread and just wanted to add that the new Cisco boxes has a new remote. Similar to the older one shown above but a bit different.

Yeah, I believe the "D" button is required for some IPG or WHPVR functionality.

That awful ON DEMAND button is so much larger to the point where I accidentally pressed it at least once a day until I disabled it. It was a macro key that did 1 0 0.
If I remember correctly, I used this procedure from the manual. Quote:

Did that with the "music" button on all four of mine - used to hit it by accident when I wanted "mute" (usually for commercials).

I have an extra Rogers remote, and wanted to use it for a TV in my bedroom but without the settop box (just cable into the tv set). I successfully programmed the TV button, where it powers on and off. However, when I click a number, or channel up, the CBL button lights up, and it doesnt change the channels. Even if I select the TV button, it still highlights the CBL button for those operations.
Any way to override? |

Good evening,
I am trying to program my new Rogers PVR remote (model 1056B03) and I am not finding a code that pairs the remote with my NAD T751 home theatre/audio receiver. I have tried the urcsupport.com site, as well as calling Rogers tech support - having no luck with either. I have also tried the "blink back" method from the site - same result. I previously had the last generation remote (with A,B,C buttons rather than A,B,C,D) and it worked fine with the NAD. Has anybody had success pairing the new remote with an NAD system? Many thanks in advance, K |

Rogers site gives it as 0320 Hope this helps. Specifies "Audio"
PRESS the button for the device you want to program (TV, VCR, CABLE, AUD, etc.) then RELEASE. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED for the selected device flashes twice, then RELEASE. ENTER the 4 digit code for your brand from the list above. You should receive 2 quick flashes on the LED for the selected device after entering your code. PRESS the POWER button to test the code. (On VCR,LD,and CD players use PLAY) |
