There has been a lot of talk about the decline in Two and a Half Men. Everyone wants to point the finger to Ashton's new character; Walden. I think the real issue with this show is Jon Cryer's character; Allen. They have taken his role of pathetic way too far. I can't even watch the show any more.
Am I alone with this opinion? |

I dropped the show last year after Sheen left, but I do see what you mean in the bits & pieces I have seen.

I may be in the minority, but I actually find the show funnier than when Sheen was on.
The problem is people's expectations. If people are expecting the show to be the same as when Sheen was on, they will be disappointed. The writers had a HUGE challenge ahead of them, and I think they've done the best they could do. Yes, they've changed the character dynamics. They've had to. They could not possibly carry on using the same character set. Example, Jake. Jake is now 15-ish. His character has changed the most. Other than the last few episodes of Allen's heart attack issues, he's pretty much maintained the same type of character as at the beginning of the season. They've basically had to re-write the show from the ground up, and I think they've done a pretty good job. |

He's older than that. Angus T. Jones is 18, and I think Jake is around there too.
I've generally liked the show. Even more than last season. But, the last few episodes have been hard to get through. |

I watched the first episode (2 parts) and stopped.
It was going downhill and it fell off the cliff from what I've and what I have read. I still watch it in syndication. |
