I got it today too, it mentions 2 free vod, are they referring to 2 more vod's are they referring to the two everybody got already?

Yeah I got it too. If you click the link it says 2 free VOD's as a bonus for signing up. If you're already signed up you won't get another 2 free. It is a bit misleading if you don't click the link.

They changed it to PPV then because it was VOD only before. However, it is up to 11.99 so ordering something like a WWE PPV does not count and you don't get 11.99 off the PPV.

I have a question, does a Shaw Friends free VOD count if the VOD is already free?

More of the same... looks like a few new contests to make us feel like they are doing something and no new tangible offers, discounts and savings.

Nothing new since launch other than contests.

I think having the first hour of long distance free would be a good "benefit".

Other than Shaw frequently changing pricing, I can set a budget amount and make the payment automatic. That is, until I have to use long distance for 5 minutes and mess up the bill payment with the extra 20 cents + GST.
Surely they could afford to forgive that first hour. ???

According to the May 2012 Shaw Friends Talk newsletter and the Shaw Friends warranty description, those of us who acquired new Shaw equipment via retailers, or used equipment, seem to be shut out of the lifetime warranty.

It would have been useful to know this earlier. So it seems that the Gateway & Portal I just bought from Best Buy, after much soul searching, are not covered by the Shaw Friends lifetime warranty after all.

This isn't the clarification I had hoped for.

Shaw sure does have a interesting take on loyalty , you get to enter a contest against every other member to maybe win a prize.. Give me a break if I wanted to enter contests I would , it's time that shaw started to give long term customers actual reasons to stick around not this BS

My take on 'through Shaw'...would include any authorized retailer and not used and not grey market(if GM exists). I would argue that and I believe that is the intent of the statement.
