Default Kef 3005se worth it?

I saw the 3005se package at a discount store for $670 and remember seeing these for $2000 at Visions a couple years ago. Is this worth getting or would I be better off going with a system like the Take Classic or should I just build a system? I don't know to much about speakers and just started doing some research. I live in a condo so not looking for something to loud. I'm leaning toward the Denon 1912 or Onkyo 609 but I'm up for suggestions on that too.

Thanks.

Good price for the set if it comes with the funky round HTB2 subwoofer.
Talking about Energy Take, yeah, great bang for buck if you'll have to wait for another US Newegg sale...can't beat $150 for a 5.0 set.

The latest version of the KEF KHT3005SE comes with the wireless subwoofer but still at the old price, so I think it's pretty good value these days. very happy with mine in the new gloss white finish.
