Starting this thread for 2012 IndyCar season discussions.
TSN/2 Schedule - Click the top left of the screen for the detailed schedule as the race draws hear. http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/irl/ (Always good to check the latest TSN/2 (or ABC) schedule). I usually prefer to record ABC when available since it's less likely to have the schedule change for another event like hockey for example. http://tvracer.com/ IndyCar Website: http://www.indycar.com/ 2011 Thread: http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=134520

Been following Paul Tracy Twitter for months.. I think he is days from announcing a full time ride. Please I hope this happens. Trackforum is buzzing with a 16 pages 2012 PT THREAD.
WITH Pt,hinch and tag in ft rides this could be my favourite indycar season since the split.. LOL

Paul Tracy, James Hinchcliffe, Alex Tagliani, Full Time. But I don't believe PT is FT.

If you're expecting to watch Sunday's Indy race on Buffalo's ABC affiliate (WKBW) at 12:30 pm, it appears that it won't be shown due to the scheduling of a Variety Kids telethon.
Instead, I'll have to watch it on Seattle's ABC affiliate, or TSN. |

Huge contrast with some of the other guys like Castroneves, Kanaan and Wilson who were happy to chat me up a bit. I'll cheer for Hinchcliffe no problem. A promising up and comer and no chip on his shoulder (yet). But other than that, just "being Canadian" is not reason enough to cheer for a driver IMO. |

I don't think PT can fit in an Indy car anymore.

I can't say I'm a big fan of the new look Indy cars yet; they look like really big go-karts.

I keep calling them prototype cars because of their rear bumpers. lol
I honestly don't mind the car design, I just hate the rear bumpers. Sucks that once again we won't get live broadcast of indycar when NBC Sports network has the rights to the race. And TSN doesn't show the entire race, they cut stuff out. |

I programmed my PVR a week ago, but I guess the start time got changed for some reason, so I missed the first hour. I saw all the replays, so I guess I didn't miss much. I'll have to remember to look at the start times closer to the event I guess. F1 means more to me than IndyCar, so it wasn't a big deal today, especially since the replays seemed to catch most of the action.
Good to see that Franchitti finally seems to be competitive again. Good for Sato - his best ever finish. Hinchcliffe third overall is also good to see.

BELL PVR a week ago and i got all of it.. Thankfully.
Good race. Hinchtown needs to work on his starts and restarts. PRetty much every restart this season he looses position. ITs quite aggravating to watch.. Now he is staying out of trouble so the car stays in the race and 3rd in points is pretty good so i wont complain. But if he is going to win a race this year he needs to start making moves on the restarts.. His car seemed off today though... not sure what happened. I am liking the look of the new cars. The rear bumpers are growing on me and the front end well its perfection compared to some of the F1 cars Legge is a huge disappointment... I was hoping at least midpack to start. Lotus is part of the issue but she is dead last to all LOTUS cars.. its too bad..

Katherine has been a disappointment to me also.
I really want her to do good, but she isn't showing much yet even amongst her Lotus teammatees. |

According to Bruce Dowbiggin in the Globe & Mail the Indycar series will be moving to Rogers Sportsnet here in Canada:

Bit odd to have a picture of PT when Hinch is doing so well and Tag is competing while PT is not.
I usually record the ABC coverage whenever possible (not always possible), per post 1.
