I can confirm Cineplex Store was installed (more like appeared) on a Samsung UN46C6400.

Here is a good explaination of the marriage between the two services. (I find it amazing that this already 2 year old news)

Roxio CinemaNow, the movie downloading service owned by Sonic Solutions, has teamed up with theater chain Cineplex Entertainment in Canada to power a new movie streaming and download service.

Canadian consumers who go to www.cineplex.com will be able to access the Cineplex-branded movie streaming and downloading service, which will be operated by Roxio CinemaNow. In other words, Roxio CinemaNow is providing a white label web-based movie service that Cineplex can market to its own consumers in Canada. The service will launch sometime this year.

Default Another update...

CinemaNow customer service ended up giving me a coupon for a free rental for my trouble--only problem it expired in January, this year! I rented another movie last night--definitely bandwidth issues (stuttering, lost HD about halfway through) that I don't see with Netflix.

I had a good chat on the phone with the support & operations manager for Rovi Corp yesterday (he actually initiated contact with me--nice gesture)--it sounds like they intend to do their best to make things right, and may be improving their back end sometime early in the new year. He certainly recognized that there are some issues with their customer service right now, and is trying to fix them.

Default Not quite there yet....

Hadn't rented from CinemaNow for a bit, so we tried it again last night. For some unknown reason it said our device (TV) had moved to a different region, and our selection might differ. From there it had to be re-activated but then the connection to their system seemed flaky--sometimes we could see our wishlist, sometimes we couldn't. Exited out of the system and restarted and had to re-activate again. Went through that cycle a few times, ended up renting our movie, but couldn't get it to play. Plus our wishlist had been cut from around 15+ movies to 4. ??? At that point we just went with Shaw VOD (and paid too much)

We've had one good rental with CinemaNow out of 4 so far--at least they're going to give us a refund on this one, but when are they going to get things right?

Default cinema now on samsung blu ray players

Anyone had any luck with this service?

I bought a BD 5300 yesterday from future shop, was told by the clerk that this service doesnt work in Quebec.

Tried it at home and sure enough an error that cinema now doesnt work in Canada.

According to the Cinema Now website the D series Samsung series that are Cinema Now enabled are the D-5500 D-5700 D-6500 D-7500

I have the D-5700 and have had no issues with Cinema Now.

Hopefully its a firmware update. It would seem odd to have the app installed, have it advertised on the box as functional, be told by cinema now that it works and yet to have it blocked or something.

I noticed theres a firmware update I need to install - maybe this will do it.
