If you have an Openbox S9 or S10 that has trouble switching polarities.
You may want to read up on this. Suspect this may also be related to the ocassional diseqc motor problem users have reported, and may actually fix that too once and for all. For 58 cents it's worth a try. I would paste a link but I think the forum here frowns upon that. So rather than offend anyone, just Google "S9 Fix For The Low LNB Voltage" and you will find plenty of hits describing the issue and the solution as posted by 'Pixl'. I haven't had any such problems, but I've seen other users report issues, so I just ordered some from digikey for myself, just because. Bottom line: PTC resettable Fuse F1 near the tuner, look at the original part, if marked M60 065 -> bad if marked JK60 065 -> good Replacement Little Fuse part available from Digikey -> F1993CT-ND, 58 cents each. Google it for more details. Information compliments of 'Pixl'...

Just to followup on this post, the correct part number from DigiKey is actually F1990CT-ND which is a polyfuse rated for 650ma. The F1993CT-ND part will still work but it is a polyfuse rated for 1100ma which is way over spec for a 450mA rated circuit.
If anyone who purchased an Openbox S9 or S10 from us is experiencing issues caused by this defective part, please contact us and we will repair your unit free of charge. Best regards, Dr. Sat |

May also wanna add that you may not experience the issue with a defective part, unless ur using it with a Diseqc Motor where it's actually trying to draw some real current. So the Low LNB Voltage in the subject may be misleading. Shoulda probably said sumthin like Low LNB Voltage / Motor reboot problem.

If ya stumble upon a bad PTC resettable thermistor in ur S9/S10, was browsing around Mouser for other stuff. They are 40 cents a piece at Mouser.

I opened my S9 and found the fuse with W60-065. Is it a good one or a bad one?
