Can someone explain APN's to me - Petro Canada / Rogers - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

Hello:

I am a real newbie.
I have a Galaxy SII running ICS i9100xxlpr
I have the Petro Canada Mobility unlimited internet & voice plan.
Petro Canada uses the Rogers network.

Does anyone have a link to the exact APN settings for this phone? I have searched the net and there are so many different versions.

Do I need 2 APN's?

How do I know if my APN is working - by turning off WIFI & then trying to surf?

Right now, with the WIFI off, I cannot surf.

Are there other settings that must be set to surf without WIFI?

Any links about APN settings would be appreciated.

I googled petrocanada apn and the firs t link was to their site and way down the page it goes into great detail about goam.com and wapuser1. But you also need to put in the proxy settings, I believe. Could you try that search and get back here?
Unlimited internet is unlimited browsing so you definitely need the proxy settings. They will show on the phone somewhere in the apn area.
