Kraven, have you already installed your BUD? I just did my post (3" schedule 40, 1,20 mt AGL), painted with en ecollogically friendly colour. Added a 1-1/2" PVC pipe for control and coax cable. (Note: how do you post a picture? I tried at the menu Icon "Image" but it asks for an URL only, no chance to upload a picture from my computer))

Target is early/mid may for the install (letting the ground settle first). Where did you get the pipe? I'll likely get it from Rona/Reno, 10ft long 3" wide.. then drill a few holes at one end and slide spikes through it to prevent the pole from rotating due to the wind.
Next up is getting an actuator arm. Cheers, K |

@Noble. They do have offices in Quebec, BC and Ontario.
3" Schedule 40 ( it is the thickness of the pipe; QUite Important!!!) Rona or HD do not have steel pipe that thick, they only have a galvanized 2 1/2, do not know what thickness. |
