As long as you can choose which OS to use at any time, there's no risk associated with buying the wrong box. No reason not to buy now, and change to Android later when available. So let's buy now!

I like the box but its too pricey for me at this time. I thought the ME, being a smaller unit, would be a discounted model as compared to the 2 other Azbox...not the case. I was actually surprised at its price tag.

The discretionary money pile seems to be smaller than the ME price for me too right now. It's income tax month: us self-employed must come up with a year's worth of tax in one payment. But the ME looks attractive since I don't do tower PCs (only laptops for all) anymore so no sat cards for me, and I do think a sat receiver should do more than only receive sat signals. And I always like the adventure of playing with Linux stuff to fill idle time.

I always envied folks who have a marketable skill unabling them to be self-employeed.

I just went over the prices again, if I get an Azbox it will be the less expensive unit... all I really want from it is to access the 4:2:2 feeds

Cheers, K

Me too. My fear is the company who pays me will someday discover I have no skill worth paying for. Until then...any salesman who knows me should stop talking when I'm near. I usually upsell myself when buying electronics if left alone. I find best value is usually in the more expensive product. How can you resist all the fun you'd have pulling your hair out while wrestling with up to three Linux OSes in the ME?
