Cogeco Outages - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I'm not at home right now, but I've heard from a couple people there is a big outage of Phone and Internet (not sure about television) in the Grimsby and Stoney Creek area. A call to Cogeco confirmed that. I hope they fix it before I get home!

They were doing maintenance work here in Peterborough yesterday, and they may be doing the same where you are. It was only out for about 30 minutes. Haven't noticed any improvement in the HD offerings on SSP!

Anyone in the Milton area having service interruptions?

Phone and Internet keep going in and out for the past three days.

I have a service call for Saturday.

At midnight, Mar 30, Cogeco is down in Oakville. The Guide is showing but all channels are black.

In St. Catharines standard def went out after 8 p.m. Now some HD channels are off too. So far Blue Jays are still on!

Yesterday's outage hit a whack of SD (not sure about any HD) channels in a number of areas, Hamilton being one of the more noted areas.

According to a Spec article, a "switch" that routes channels went west.

Needless to say, CSR's were swamped. :-)

Major pixelation issues started on multiple channels last night almost right at midnight.

I called and they are having problems in my area (Cobourg, Port Hope) and are working on it.

7pm here in Oakville now. I only have tv, but when you call the service line the message says there's a major outage in Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Acton, Georgetown....it says cable, internet and phone.

0 for 3 in Burlington for the past 5 hours. Can't even get through to Support, busy signals. Who still has busy signals in 2012?

Tethering off my iPhone right now.

I was fine yesterday(cable tv) in Burlington. All my shows recorded while I was at work and no outage last night.
