hi our sony grand wega quit working just the other day,was watching a
program,and the tv made a loud popping noise and the picture left,now if i plug it in,the green standy light blinks and tv makes a hissing noise,any ideas |

Good news is that all of last year's TV models are now on clearance sales. Yesterday, I picked up a 42" LG LED 120 Hz Smart TV that was selling for $900, 6 months ago for $600 @ Walmart.

Here's a list of things to check/try. The number of blinks is usually a code for what's wrong. You could call or e-mail Sony or a service outlet to find out what the code indicates and act accordingly.
