Mobilicity announced a new promotion this week which gives subscribers free "social data" on their cheaper voice and text plans and free data on their more expensive $45 a month plan.
Details of the data promotion are as follows:
The company also introduced a new port-in credit promotion of $50. Consumers who port their existing phone number to Mobilicity and register for pre-authorized credit card payment will receive $10 credits over five months.

Does the term "data" apply to a web page that streams video?
I'm confused by the usage of the "social networking, web mail and so on" Or would that be the "unlimited data" add on for $10?

There has been a great deal of discussion (read that ranting and raving!) over at another forum.
Apparently a lot of folks are unhappy with Mobilicity capping speeds, throttling certain downloads and other similar activities. It might be worth a bit of research on these issues as it can make a big difference if you are even a moderate user of data. Last edited by skifan; 2012-01-12 at 03:39 AM. |
