I received a 9241 within 3 days, but the 9242 to replace the 9241 has been pushing 2 weeks now. After the 10 business days, I'm going to call. |

Bell sent out my replacement receivers which I have not got, and today they sent the Kill command down for my 9200. So now I have no TV. They tell me once the old receivers are killed they can't be activated. They don't have tracking for the receiver so they have to resend units and thats 7-10days. With holiday season it will be at least 2wks.
I'm NOT very impressed at all. |

That is more than a major bummer, I did not even know they could kill a receiver(?)... and more importantly why would they do this until you let them know you have the new units activated.
I think you may be in line for a month or two of free service should you decide to stay! |

Per post 1 of this thread and per many posts in this thread, the 9200s are usually deactivated 2-4 weeks after you receive the replacements. Sounds like they made a mistake with swalsh29. I'd be angry too.
You should be able to check tracking per post 1, but perhaps not over the holidays...

That is interesting, automatic deactivation was never mentioned to me, they should let you know this when they arrange all of this!
I had better get that cascaded SW44 up and running real soon... |

@westcoaster: You were warned in the instructions that came with your replacement that you might lose your service after two weeks. It may be somewhat fine printish but it is stated on the document.
In my case it was 10 days from the date of receipt before I managed to find the time to make the switch. My 9200 was still active up to then. So I agree that a mistake was made and that swalsh19 should go after Bell for some kind of compensation. |

Since he never received the replacements I guess he would not have been able to read it no matter how small it was.

I found it on the first page, a little vague but I guess it did suggest action was required:
"To ensure uninterrupted service, please replace your HD PVR within the next two weeks." A bit more information could have been added to clarify: "... as your old receiver will be deactivated after that time." |

I ended up calling bell and told them my reciever had been deactivated and that I wasn't aware that I would be unable to even watch SD channels. They ended up reactivating my 9200 so I could use it in my bedroom.

Just got my latest bill. I was greeted by a $250 "non-return of equipment" charge. My 6100 was replaced by a 6141. Why would they want my 6100 back? Off to call Bell...

Apparently from some images that have been posted they might be going to issue the 6100 as a SD box. So it has value to BELL.
The 9200 is being completely eliminated and is not being asked for return. |

Just off the phone. No, they don't want the 6100 back. They just screwed up the details of my swap. Since a 6100 is supposed to be swapped for a 6131, the details of the 6141 caused problems. I'll post back once it is cleared up by the escalation.

My brother in law has a 9200.On his behalf I used the chat to request a 9242 late Wednesday night around 9PM. Agent siad it would take 5-7 days by Canada Post or Purolator. I figured with Holidays and the days off and weekends that he would get it on Jan 10 .
But he got it Friday morning. Only took a full day and a half!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Says 9242 on the box. If it is a Refurb should it have the R on it like 9242R on the box? |
