Howdy. I received a call from Aliant, offering me 3 free months of a theme pack if I wanted to choose one. Perhaps if you haven't received this call, you can call in and request it. Hope this helps.

I received a similar call last week, but it was for three theme packs free for a month. I picked my packs, and was told that they'd be available within 24 hours.
~4 days later, no new channels in the guide.

Have you customized your guide? If you're using a customized guide, the new channels won't appear until you add them to the customized guide.

Yes exactly, some people, my inlaws for example, block channels they don't subscribe to out of their guide. I get most of the channels so I only block duplicates and promo/ad channels. If you had any channels blocked you need to unblock them first.

Nope, nothing blocked. I'm still running the old AliantTV guide too, not the new FiberOP 2.0 guide. I tried rebooting the box a few times and no luck.
Kinda feels silly to call them up for free stuff they offered that I'm not getting. I'm ready to bet I'll get an answer along these lines: "We have no recollection of such an offer, sir." |

I also received the same offer of three packs for one month but have also received no channels that i choose after two weeks and btw my guide is wide open as far as channels go

I also received a call and was offered 3 theme packs free for 3 months. I have all the new channels. But I was concerned bc I was seeing some here saying it was only for 1 month.
I just called in and I did get 3 theme packs free for 3 months. [ Say that 5 times quickly |

Got my 3 theme packs today for 3 months. Sweet deal.
On the same topic, got a phone call last night from a representative of Super Channel...offering 2 months free of their service. Signed up right away!! |

I was expecting a call since reading this thread. Saw their number today so I answered the phone.. It was a kind woman on the other end, very obviously reading a script to me.
I was offered 2 months of the Super Channel package. Not sure why I didn't get offered the 3 for 3 deal. Could be because I recently removed a theme pack. Before I even asked about cancelling it, she told me that it would bill automatically after 2 months if I didn't remove it, but I could do so online. That's good, so I said yes. If I had to call in to cancel it I would have told her no. There's no way I'm paying an extra $17 for anything each month! Not interested in this package anyway.. Also since I don't have (can't get) HD service I am only going to see the standard def channels. Already set my calendar reminder for January to remove this package! Kind gesture from BellAliant, even if it is a ploy to try and get us to keep the packs on! I appreciate the online removal feature. |

I called yesterday and got the 3 free for 3 months.
They told me that it would automatically be removed at teh end of three months if I didn't call in to extend it. I never received a call. Probably because I don't answer calls from 1-800 numbers |

Do yourself a favour and create a reminder in 3 months to call in and cancel the free themes. |

Just called and CSR said it wasn't available. Might try again in a few days see if I get a different answer
