Based on the tech spec comparison of latest NOOK and Amazon's Fire Kindle, the extra $50 for NOOK is worth paying for 16GB of Hard Disk and 1GB of RAM as Fire Kindle has exactly half of these 2 configurations.

Based on spec's alone, looks like it beat's the Kindle Fire hands down, and could well give the incumbent in this space (iPod Touch) a serious run as well.

Problem is, the Fire and the iPod Touch have a storefront with massive amounts of content to consume, and that might stunt its growth.
