I was just wondering if anyone has had any success in switching services from Rogers. I have been getting a lot of mixed information from Bell/Bell Aliant of what can/cannot be done. I currently have Bell TV, Rogers internet and Rogers Mobile. I'm considering switching the internet/mobile to Bell (internet to Bell Aliant and Mobile to Bell as I understand it) and possibly adding a home phone. Is it possible to bundle Sat TV, Internet, Mobile and Home Phone with Bell/Bell Aliant? Also, would they give any discounts for a bundle, or for switching from Rogers? I'd like to keep the same type of mobile plan/price as I currently have. Any information would be a great help, thanks.

As far as I know there is no way to bundle the Satellite TV in Atlantic Canada, only in Ontario. Aliant Does offer both Bell Aliant TV and in some areas FibreOp TV which is very good, and most likely cheaper than the way you have things bundled now.

I believe BellAliant does give a monthly discount if you do have Bell TV. Just let them know and they might as for the account number.

The bundle discount for Bell Mobility Smartphone is $5/month. See http://productsandservice.bellaliant...ckage_cellular
The online bundle calculator on the Aliant site assumes a new satellite installation, so it's hard to tell what the actual bundle discount is for existing satellite customers. You may have to phone to find out. |

I did talk to them today and found out a few things. Yes they will credit you $5 for a mobility plan on a bundle. She did say they would give me the 'new customer' Bell TV pricing as long as I was activating at least 1 NEW service with them. The did ask for my account number which I didn't have with me, but wouldn't give me any details of the discount. She did say I would be getting it all on 1 bill, so maybe they will apply a credit somewhere else? The issue I'm mostly concerned with is that my current Rogers internet and cell plans are superior to what bell is offering in their bundles. I asked about matching or beating this if I was switching from Rogers and was given a 1-888 number to call. I assume they would at least match.

Goodluck! Let us know how things work out. But, I'm not holding much hope on Aliant price matching Rogers considering FibreOp internet is "light" years ahead of Rogers. |

If you negotiate Rogers down to the insanely low "We need to retain this customer so we get at least SOME money" I doubt Bell Aliant will match. Their prices are already reasonable.

Their Bell TV bundles are 2 separate bills. The rep you were speaking to is wrong. They will give you a promo for 1 year if you add a service ie phone and or internet on a 2 year contract. If you are an existing Bell TV customer you would only get a promo on the phone and internet bundle. Your Bell TV bill would not change unless you call them and threaten to leave, they may hook you up with a promo. You cannot bundle FibreOP internet with Bell TV at all. The best you could get is Ultra or maybe Max.

I just got out of this situation since BellTV changed their channel lineup and therefore broke the contract.
The price ends up being what Bell Aliant advertises after you fight with BellTV about being in a bundle and then Bell Aliant discounts so much for it. Out of the 12 months I had this bundle my bill was right 2x. Even the final bill was wrong and now they owe me $7. Also 3 days after my disconnect they reactivated my account and charged me $90 for fun. Another call. So basically the jist of my post is that I had BellTV, Aliant home phone, cell phone (5 dollars off a month), and internet all with Bell/Bell Aliant bundle. Since then I've weeded out the cell phone and BellTV and have no TV until Fibreop is installed. I just can't spend anymore time on the phone with Bell Canada billing. |

I know it can be a pain. I've been dealing with BellTV now for quite a while. I think the easiest thing to do is leave my BellTV alone. I was able to get a $20 per month discount from them last January, so hopefully I will be able to get something similar this January. I can't get FibreOP yet, not sure why, but hopefully soon. So I will probably wait for that before moving my Rogers internet and mobility over to Bell. We don't really need a home phone, but with the bundles the cost of adding it is almost negligible with just the basic services. This also avoids paying their $10/mo fee for internet without a home phone (if I just go with their regular high speed until FibreOP is available).
