AMD A8-3500M or Intel Core i7-2630(dv7-6197) - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I am looking at purchasing one of these laptops containing one of the two processors. Was wondering which one was better (reliable, speed, operating temps, etc) The AMD has 6gb ram and a HD Radeon 6755G2 dual graphics card The Intel has 8gb of ram and an HD 6770m card. Both are HP laptops. I don't intend to do any gaming but mostly watch HD movies (mkv, bluray). I am assuming that both laptops would easily do the job but would like to hear some opinions from others.
