Exclamation CTV Atlantic and Global Maritimes in HD Line up?

So here's one for everyone unless I missed the memo... When did Global Martimes HD take over Global Toronto HD on 517 and CTV Atlantic (aka ATV) HD take over CTV Toronto 518? Discovered this over the weekend. Nice to see.

For the Moncton system, I noticed 514 CBC HD change to CBC New Brunswick, 515/602 Radio-Canada HD change to Radio-Canada Moncton, and 517 Global HD change to Global Maritimes NB on September 1.

518 CTV HD changed to CTV Atlantic on the same day their transmitter turned on in Moncton, September 8.

For the other local New Brunswick stations, 611 TVA HD has not changed to TVA Rivière-du-Loup/Edmundston, nor 606 V HD to V Est-du-Québec, but both SD channels were off-the-air overnight September 1 and returned the next morning in an odd anamorphic widescreen (which they are still in).

Default No Wide Screen HD?

Why are the "new HD" CBC (514) and CTV (518) channels not in wide screen.
It's great to have local HD channels, But both of their Evening News programs are NOT in wide-screen format.

The CBC NB news was in widescreen last week, but they've gone back to 4x3 this week. Huh?

Dragon's Den on CBC HD last night was letterboxed, but the picture inside the box looked HD. Really not sure what's up with it.

edit - Looks like Aliant and OTA users are seeing the same thing, so it seems to be an issue on CBC's end.

Default Question

Why is some programming on CTV and CBC in New Brunswick still in a 4:3 format and not widescreen? Are they broadcasting in HD or not?

As a leafs fan i am dissapointed in the switch to cbc atlantic HD as i will definitely be losing my Leafs HD saturday nights now in place of the habs as CBC atlantic seems to carry the habs over the leafs.

CBC Atlantic does not show very many Habs broadcasts. They are heavy on the Leafs. I never watch HNIC on CBC Atlantic for that reason.

In Newfoundland, HNIC is all leafs al the time. The only way the habs ever get on is if the leafs are not playing at the same time.

ive found that montreal-pittsburgh and montreal-boston knocks the leafs off HNIC here, even when playing another canadian team.
