I ordered and recorded (automatically) the 1:35am airing of The Lincoln Lawyer on ch 829 on Sunday morning. When the wife and I started watching it on Sunday night, it was clear that there was static in the audio. The louder the audio got (music or when people spoke), the static got worse. After 5 minutes of that we gave up and decided to watch the On Demand version and just call Bell the next morning (just now) to get a credit.
The rep (Natasha) just told me that client's aren't supposed to record PPV events on their PVR. She said it was Bell's policy. What the hell is she smoking? She asked why I didn't call at the time the audio problem was occurring -- Uh because I was asleep!? I told her its not like I'm copying a movie to put onto the Internet. She said they "had no way of knowing that". ??!! I asked her if there was an official statement on that on Bell's website; she said she's sure there must be something like that on there, but couldn't give me a link. I'm in IT and it took me a whole 5 seconds to find this ("If I purchase the movie or event online..."). Does anybody have an information on her story? I've always had good experiences talking with Bell reps but this one was annoying and potentially dangerous ("This client's pirating our stuff!!") Thanks D |
