Ok, so I've been searching around the web for an answer to this and haven't come up with much. I've found a few different services out there that may do the trick (Orb, Twonky, etc.) but I think there must be some way I can do it.
My main goal for this is to be able to have my in laws access my media collection. For the sake of this let us not worry about bandwidth or connection speeds. I am just trying to figure out the logistics of how to make this work as simply as possible. I know that the first step would be to have their computer see mine over the net. I want them to be able to stream the videos, not have to download them first. I'm sure I am not the only person out there who is interested in this so I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions. Ideally I would like to have a solution that will not be dependant on the OS or at the very least work with both Mac and PC. If anyone wants any specific information on my setup I am happy to share it. Cheers |
