Hi everyone this is my first post and im a newbie with setting up dishes so bare with me. I'm trying to install 91 and 82 using an sw44 switch. When finding signal coming straight from the lnb to the receiver i get signal strength of 90-80 depending on what transponder it is on. When i go hook up the switch and run a check switch it comes up as reception failed. I'm getting some channels on both sats but missing quite a few. what can i do to get this problem fixed? thanks in advance for taking the time to reply to my post

Is the SW44 installed correctly?
82 should have higher levels than 91. Bad connector/cable can all be the issues, so can a defective Power Supply or connection. Check out the SW44 Thread; http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=79117 It would also help to know what receiver you are using and the exact cabling you have, etc. |

I actually had a service call today for this exact same problem. Turns out they didn't even have a power inserter install at all. I hooked it up and voila, it worked perfectly.

It is amazing how many Techs get those service calls. You would think someone would have made a better connection for the Power Inserter by now.
