I heard in was into the 90 cent plus range in eastern ontario. I just converted to 95% gas from 75% oil and figure from jan13 to feb 15 I've saved over $200.

All I know is that it's high.
Everyone who can get off oil, should do so.

I'm curious, Outside of major urban areas, do many people even use heating oil anymore?
I haven't seen a heating oil truck in Toronto in years.

in kitchener / waterloo from time to time Ill see a oil truck roll by. I think though that most of time its in the older neighborhoods.
I agree with txv, its better to get onto natural gas. I know back east (nova scotia espically) it will be many years (dout in it will be in my lifetime) before natural gas is used like in ontario, and west. The inital cost of laying the piping is expensive, and there is little ROI. |

In some areas even electric is much better than oil - BC, Manitoba, Quebec, parts of the east coast.

Damn it is very expensive. I don't have natural gas in my area but I don't want to use this wood furnace any more. I see I will have to :-(

Here in central Vancouver Island, there are still plenty of oil furnaces - I see an oil truck in the residential areas quite frequently.

In PEI it's about 88 cents per litre right now and we have a regulatory commission that sets the price twice a month, so it's never a BIG increase or decrease in price at once but they always get you over time.
