I am trying to use hyperterminal to access my television controls to enable the remote and front panel controls.
I have a string of commands and the format in the Owner's Manual, but it seems that the TV doesn't hear (Rx) the COM1 port.

I am downloading the "LG Universal Data Kit' from "xdrivers" in hope of establishing a connection.
Background: This set was in the Hard Rock Casino and the IT folks locked out all external controls.

What is the best program to use? Hyperterminal or PowerTerminal???
