I have not found any specific threads regarding a standard definition Rogers PVR (SA Explorer 8300).
I have had this unit for a while. It is not a rental unit, so when my problem occurred, I was stuck in terms of options. The unit started to display the following message when trying to access recordings: Disk trouble There are problems with the program storage disc Recording and playback are not available at this time Based on what I have read about the 8300HD, I am presuming it is a problem with the hard drive. I have another SA PVR, so I brought up the diagnostic screen on each to compare them and noticed that the only difference is that the hard drive information does not appear on the problem unit. I am presuming that by changing the hard drive, this should take care of the problem. My questions are: - is there a limit in terms of the size of the hard drive that I can replace the current one with? - is there any sort of configuration that has to be done to the hard drive prior to installation, or will the unit just format it as need be once it reboots? Thank you, and I appreciate any help I can get with this issue. |
